HOW the NUCCA Technique Relieves Migraine Headaches
If you suffer from migraines or other headaches,
Dr. Hansen of Precision Spinal Care can help.
We use National Upper Cervical Chiropractic Association, or NUCCA, chiropractic techniques to relieve migraines and other ailments that occur due to spinal misalignments. Our chiropractor can use NUCCA techniques to re-align your spine without popping, cracking or twisting.
How NUCCA Works
NUCCA chiropractic techniques are based on the belief that all spinal misalignment and dysfunction originates from an atlas subluxation complex, or misalignment of the first vertebra at the top of the neck. Research has shown that correcting the subluxation of this vertebra encourages the gentle realignment of the entire spine and stimulates the body’s natural healing process. With Migraines in particular, the nerves that supply the head area are now working how they are supposed to and are not being pinched off. This is why migraines respond so well under care.
Treatment with NUCCA techniques is a gentler form of chiropractic that does not require any popping or twisting of the neck. Instead, patients lie on their side while our chiropractor gently but precisely adjusts the cervical spine, restoring the atlas vertebra to its normal position. There is no pain or discomfort involved in the process. Many patients feel nothing at all as the vertebra moves back into its normal position. Measurements are taken following each treatment to ensure that the repositioning of the atlas vertebra is restoring proper balance to the body as expected.
By removing subluxations from the atlas vertebra, NUCCA techniques restore stability to the spinal column and balance to the body, relieving migraines and other painful conditions. NUCCA requires fewer visits than other forms of chiropractic care and costs less overall.
